Description
Issue 7 gives an extensive overview of the history of the Istanbul Biennial and Turkey’s participations at the Venice Biennial. In collaboration with the Venice Biennial archive we included information on exhibitions reaching back as far as 1956. With the support of the archive of the BM Contemporary Art Center and IKSV, we are presenting an overview of the Istanbul Biennial, its history, evolution and strong impact on the city’s art scene.
The magazine also features interviews with curators Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev, Fulya Erdemci, Hou Hanru, WHW, Charles Esche, Jens Hoffmann, Beral Madra, Emre Baykal and Defne Ayas
