Since its foundation, over a number of 200 exhibitions have been organised with the artists who mostly have generated the unique visual language of post 1960 Contemporary Turkish Abstract movement. The gallery’s general program consists of paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints and installations of contemporary art. In addition to periodical exhibitions Kare Art Gallery participates in several art events and organizes art lectures. Also the corpus including publications from global art literature and the art collection which brings together the significant pieces of post 1960 Turkish art, have been formed within that period.
Kare Art Gallery, aiming to promote also emerging artists from different disciplines, opened its second art space in the same building in 2011 September and continues expanding its activities to international art platforms.
